Pastor John Day and family

Pastor John Day was born February 25, 1974 in Ironton, Ohio. He was saved and baptized at the age of ten at the Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Ironton, OH. He was called to preach the Gospel at the age of sixteen. In 1994, he married the love of his life, Cheryl Woodrum. God has blessed them with four children: Anna (16), Moriah (12), Josiah (10), and Bailey (8). In 1995, he began serving as a full-time youth pastor. The churches he served in included: South Webster Baptist Church in South Webster Ohio, First Baptist Church in South Point, Ohio, and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkview, West Virginia. While serving as a youth pastor he preached many youth camps and lead several foreign mission trips. In 1999, he graduated from Southland Bible Institute in Ashland, Kentucky. In 2003, God lead him to pastor Fairview Baptist Temple in Clay, West Virginia. During his pastorate the church grew with souls being saved and baptized, Faith Promise Missions was started and a bus ministry was started. In late 2006 God led him to pastor Ray Avenue Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas where he serves the Lord with his family. Many new ministries have been started and many souls have been saved and baptized. Pastor Day is available for revival meetings, camp meetings, youth conferences and youth camps as the Lord leads.
